Russell Wilson did not take kindly to missing his first ever preseason action when he was kept out of Seattle’s preseason opener last week vs Denver.  The Seahawks starting quarterback responded by coming out crisp in Minnesota, going six-for-nine for 82 yards passing with no touchdowns, no interceptions, and no sacks.  Wilson also rushed two times for nine yards.  He missed a couple of close third-down throws that would have made his night even more impressive, but it was a solid first performance from No. 3.

Fourth-round pick Ugo Amadi out of Oregon made one of the game’s most impressive plays in the first half, when he bolted from the gunner position on a punt cover play and planted Vikings return man Olabisi Johnson.

And former Portland State star DeShawn Shead, back with the Seahawks after playing last year in Detroit, made a huge play in the first half when he intercepted Vikings backup quarterback and former Oregon State star Sean Mannion, returning it 88 yards to the house.

A tough moment came in the second half when Paxton Lynch, who is competing with Geno Smith for the backup quarterback job, took an illegal hit to the helmet from Vikings cornerback Holton Hill.  Hill was ejected for the hit, and Lynch has been placed into concussion protocol.

The Seahawks (1-1) play their third game of the preseason on Saturday night at the Los Angeles Chargers (0-2).
