Arkansas State head football coach Blake Anderson announced today that his wife, Wendy, has passed away.  Wendy was battling an aggressive form of breast cancer, for which she was originally diagnosed in 2017.

Wendy leaves behind three children.  The support and prayers of the college football community quickly spread toward Anderson and his family.

Anderson is taking a leave of absence from the program, something he previously acknowledged would be the case as Wendy fought against the cancer.

Defensive coordinator David Duggan will take over interim coaching duties as Arkansas State prepares for its season opener August 31st against SMU.
