The Mariners snapped their six-game losing skid with a great all-around game. Solid pitching, good defense, well-placed hitting and speed all contributed to the Mariners 6-2 win.

Daniel Vogelbach and Mallex Smith battled for highlight of the day on Memorial Day. In the 7th inning, Vogey destroyed a ball to the upper deck in right field.

The Vogel-bomb pushed Seattle lead to three, giving the M’s a solid cushion for the final two innings.

Then, Smith, not wanting to be outdone, decided to steal 2nd, 3rd AND Home Plate in the 8th inning. He became the 8th Mariner ever to have 4 stolen bases in a game.
