Oregon State missed every three pointer in the first half and only made seven shots in the first 20 minutes. The No. 7 Beavers suffered just their fourth loss of the season and their first road loss all year. Stanford tops Oregon State, 61-44.

Redshirt sophomore Destiny Slocum led the team with 23 points. Unfortunately for the Beavs, Slocum was the only player in double figures.

Sophomores Taya Corosdale and Aleah Goodman played a combined 65 minutes and missed 12 shots between the two of them.

In 11 minutes off the bench, senior Joanna Grymek hit all three of her shots and scored eight points.

Only five players scored for the Beavers against No. 11 Stanford. Along with Slocum and Grymek, Oregon State got six points from junior Mikayla Pivec, senior Katie McWilliams scored five and junior Madison Washington put in one bucket off the bench for two points.

Overall, the Beavers shot 28.6 percent from the floor. Stanford (19-3, Pac-12 9-2) didn’t shoot much better at 35.8 percent, but they didn’t need to on Friday night.

The Cardinal were led by sophomore Kiana Williams’ 18 points and senior Alanna Smith’s 17 points. Stanford dominated in second chance points with a margin of 17-4 over OSU.

Oregon State (19-4, 9-2) will have a chance to get right on Sunday in Berkeley, where the Beavs will battle Cal. Oregon hammered the Golden Bears on Friday.
