Sabrina Ionescu named semifinalist for Naismith Trophy

Oregon women’s basketball guard Sabrina Ionescu has been named a semifinalist for the Naismith Trophy for Women’s Player of the Year. She holds the NCAA single-season record with 17 career triple-doubles having 7 this year alone. Ionescu ranks first all-time at UO with 723 career assists and is fifth with 1,814 career points. They’ll announce 4 finalist from the 10 semifinalists on March 22nd. The 2019 Citizen Naismith Trophy for Women’s Player of the Year will be announced on April 6.
