Oregon Comes In At No. 7 In First Playoff Rankings, Utah Right Behind At No. 8

The PAC-12 is in excellent shape to be right there at the end of the season for a shot at one of the top 4 playoff seeds. Both Oregon and Utah are ahead of fellow one loss team Oklahoma, and behind just one other one loss team in Georgia.

Obviously both Oregon and Utah need help to get in, but they don’t need chaos. Penn State and Ohio State play each other, as well as LSU and Alabama. Even Georgia has a tough game left when they travel to Auburn to take on the Tigers. If Auburn can pull off that win, it would be a huge boost for Oregon’s playoff resume.

As long as the Ducks and Utes keep winning and meet in the PAC-12 Championship game at 11-1, the winner will have a strong case to be included in the playoff.
