The LSU Tigers have bounced between No. 1 and No. 2 in the College Football Playoff Rankings this season. On Saturday, LSU proved without a doubt they’re a top four team.

The Tigers picked No. 4 Georgia apart in the SEC Championship game.

Joe Burrow set the SEC single-season record for touchdown passes with his first TD in the opening quarter. Burrow would throw three more touchdowns to increase his season total to 48.

The former Ohio State transfer QB collected 349 passing yards, marking Burrow’s 11th game this season of 300+ yards through the air.

No. 2 LSU’s defense was also impressive, holding Georgia to 3-of-13 on third down and forcing two Jake Fromm interceptions.

The Tigers will now wait for the CFP Committee to decide where they will be–and who will join them–in the top four on Sunday.
