The No.13 Oregon Ducks pounded the Colorado Buffaloes into submission on Friday night, winning 45-3 in Autzen Stadium.  Oregon’s defense forced four interceptions, including two from redshirt freshman Verone McKinley III.

The Ducks withstood injuries to a handful of key players in the game, including senior tight end Jacob Breeland, who suffered an apparent knee injury on a hit on the sideline in the first half and did not return.

Safety Jevon Holland also suffered an injury late in the first half and did not return, reportedly having to wear a walking boot on his left foot.  Senior linebacker Troy Dye also had his night abbreviated with an injury.

Quarterback Justin Herbert had a massive night, finishing 18-for-32 for 261 yards and 2 touchdowns.  Backup Tyler Shough came in with the game out of hand in the fourth quarter.

Running back CJ Verdell broke out in a major way Friday night, with 14 carries for 170 yards.   Jaylon Redd paced the wide receiving core with four catches for 70 yards and two touchdowns including a rushing score.  Cyrus Habibi-Likio totaled three rushing touchdowns as well.

Oregon’s four interceptions turned into 21 points from the offense.  The Ducks outgained the Buffaloes in total yardage, 527-299.
