The Mariners led 5-0 and lost the lead. The Chicago White Sox led 10-5 and lost the game.

Seattle will take all the negatives, 15 runners left on, a blown 5-0 lead and six pitchers used, because they won 11-10 on a bases loaded walk in the ninth inning.

The 5-0 lead came for the M’s with all runs scoring in the fourth. Then, Chicago scored eight in the next half inning.

Down 8-5, the M’s gave up two more runs in the seventh. Down 10-5, the M’s start making the comeback in the eighth.

Seattle batted around (10 batters in total) came to the plate in the eighth. Kyle Seager drove in the first run of the inning, and then the legend of Kyle Lewis grew even bigger.

Lewis shot an 0-1 pitch 420 feet for a three-run home run to bring the M’s to within a run, 10-9.

Seattle’s relief pitcher, Austin Adams, struck out the side in the top of the ninth to set up a chance for a walk-off.

Austin Nola reached on an infield single to start the ninth. Seager flew out. Lewis singled to right, but White Sox right fielder Ryan Cordell misplayed the ball allowing Nola to reach third with one out.

Dee Gordon came in to pinch hit, Bradon Bishop pinch ran for Nola. Gordon was intentionally walked to load the bases.

Catcher Tom Murphy stepped to the plate and showed excellent plate discipline. He swung at two pitches, and allowed the other four sail by without contact. Bishop forced in from third gave the Mariners a second consecutive walk-off win.

Mariners win 11-10.
