New York Knicks center Enes Kanter is being sought by the nation of Turkey for an international arrest warrant, per reports.

Turkey is accusing the basketball player of being a member in a terror organization.  A local newspaper reports Turkey is also preparing a request for extradition.

Kanter responded to the accusation on social media.

Reports indicate that in order for Kanter to be extradited, the United States would have to be convinced that he committed a crime prosecutable in the U.S.

Kanter recently decided not to travel with the team to their overseas trip to London due to his own safety concerns, saying he feared he could be the target of an assassination attempt while the Knicks played the Washington Wizards this Thursday.
