Keanon Lowe Joins the BFT to Talk About Disarming Student at Parkrose High

John Canzano talks with Keanon Lowe about the incident at Parkrose High School involving a student with a gun and how this has impacted him and the rest of the Parkrose community.

On what he saw:

“I saw everything super fast. It’s a fraction of a second. I saw the student’s face. I saw the student’s eyes. I saw what he was holding. In my mind, I’m thinking, ‘Is that real?’… I got my hands on that gun and ended up being fortunate enough to wrestling it away and make sure it wasn’t pointed at a student.”

On whether he had time to think during the incident:

“I think in a situation like that if I did think I would have been too slow.”
