The Nancy Lieberman Award, given to the nation’s top women’s basketball point guard each year, announced their 10 finalists for the award today, and Oregon State’s Destiny Slocum and Oregon’s Sabrina Ionescu made the list.

Ionescue, who won the award last season, is averaging more than 19 points and 8 assists for the No. 3 Ducks, who lead the Pac-12 with a 12-0 record. Slocum averages 17 points and 5 assists for the No. 9 Beavers, who are in second place in the Pac-12 at 10-2.

The list will be pared to five candidates in March. From there a winner will be selected and announced at the women’s Final Four in Tampa, Fla. in April.

Ionescu and Slocum will have ample opportunity to go head to head. Oregon and Oregon State meet on Friday AND Sunday this week in Civil War action.
