Cj McCollum scored 23 of his 35 points in the 4th quarter and the Blazers won their 2nd game in a row, 125 to 104 over the Clippers. It was a back-and-forth affair all night long, but the 4th quarter was the difference as Portland(41-26) out scored Los Angeles(39-30) 40 to 20 in that decisive quarter.

McCollum, who started the game 0-7 was the difference for the Blazers tonight. It didn’t matter who the Clippers put on him, he didn’t miss. In one sequence of the game McCollum hit 4 jumpers on 4 straight possessions to suck the life out of the home fans. Damian Lillard added 20 points and 12 assists, while Jusuf Nurkic had 20 points and 12 rebounds.

Lillard(12,560) trails former Blazer, Lamarcus Aldridge(12,562) by two points for 2nd all time on Portland’s career scoring list. Blazer legend Clyde Drexler is first on the list with 18,040 points.

With the win, Portland is now tied with Oklahoma City for 4th place in the west. Both teams trail Houston by a game for 3rd place. Up next, Portland heads to New Orleans to take on the Pelicans Friday night.
