The 115th playing of the Red River Showdown didn’t start the way you’d expect; a defensive battle broke out in a game normally known for it’s high-scoring, highlight-filled game play.

Oklahoma only led 10-3 at halftime, and Texas only got the three as time expired in the opening half.

The Sooners D forced four punts and the lone field goal, while the Longhorns forced two turnovers, a punt and only gave up the mentioned 10 points.

Both teams woke up in the second half, each scoring 24 points in the final 30 minutes.

However, it was too little too late for #11 Texas as they were 10-14 points on three separate occasions.

#6 Oklahoma stays unbeaten behind the (at times) up-and-down day for Jalen Hurts and the strength of their defense.

Hurts finished 16-of-28 for 235 yards, three touchdowns and a pick through the air and 121 yards and a TD on the ground.

The Sooners defense held Texas QB Sam Ehlinger to 210 yards and zero touchdown passes.

Here are some highlights from the game:

Jalen Hurts to CeeDee Lamb 51-yd TD, 17-10 Sooners

Hurts to Lamb 27-yd TD, 27-17 Sooners

Final Call: Sooners win 34-27
