Getting a team prepared to take the field and be successful in an NFL Super Bowl game takes more than just drawing up a game plan. The coach needs to make sure the team is focused in all areas including how to deal with the media hoopla surrounding the Super Bowl. Former Super Bowl winning head coach with the Oakland Raiders, Tom Flores joined the BFT to talk about the big game.

Flores started his football career as a quarterback in the AFL with the Oakland Raiders. Flores ended up being the head coach winning two Super Bowls with the organization.

"Didn't even think about coaching at the time when you're a player you don't even think about coaching most guys don't even think about what to do after they're done because you never want it to end or expect it to end which is wrong. You should at least have some idea what you want to do and get ready for it." Tom was asked in regards to whether or not he thought about coaching when he was a player.

When a person has spent decades playing in the NFL and coaching in the NFL as well as having won a Super Bowl it probably gives them instant credibility when giving their big game prediction.

"I think the Niners should win, it doesn't mean they will but I think they're the most solid team on both sides of the ball." Said Tom when he was asked by John to give his Super Bowl prediction.

Tom and John also talked about the merger between the AFL and NFL and how Tom played a part in the history of the NFL.
