John Robinson Once a Duck always a Duck

April 24, 2013, 4:22 pm
The Oregon Ducks will participate in their annual Spring football game this Saturday in Eugene. Many players have come and gone but there are a handful of legends that will never be forgotten players in Ducks football history. Former NFL coach & Ducks player/coach John Robinson is one such individual.

John Robinson joined John Canzano on The Bald Faced Truth to talk about coming back to Eugene to be a guest coach during the Ducks Spring football game.

Spring football gives coaches and staff an opportunity to evaluate the team and roster heading into Summer before the start of the season in Fall.

"Spring football is a great time you know you go out and you coach, there's no pressure to get anything done. You teach in Spring football if ever there's a place for the teacher it's in Spring practice," said Robinson on Spring ball.

As time moves on so does athletics and Spring football is no different.

"It's very different and ours was very physical and if you lived through Spring practice that was great," Robinson said on how Spring football has changed. "Very little external interest in it, it was pretty much a private thing because nobody else paid much attention."

The Oregon Ducks Spring football game is scheduled for Saturday, April 27th beginning at 11 a.m. in Autzen Stadium. For details go here.

The scrimmage will be broadcast live on the "Home of the Oregon Ducks" Sports Radio 750 The Game.
